Let things go

Let people get away with things. If they have caused you any damages just fix it and leave them up to God to get even with. Under his power they will reap what they sow. However, forgiving others their trespasses against us is a big part of the plan in which we expect to have our trespasses forgiven.

It is still sin

The situation is that someone has angered you and you go and cuss them out or do some other thing to soothe your hurt feelings.

The truth is that something wrong in God's eyes has just taken place. The fact that these people bothered with you first and made you angry does not matter. You are expected to be cool all the time, and losing your cool can get you into trouble.

Prayer is the beginning of all Christian effort. Many things are done in the world without prayer, but for something to be recognized as a Christian thing prayer has to be involved. Praying is the way that a Christian gets God to be a part of things, and without prayer it is not guaranteed that God will be a part of it.

Don't keep it for long

When angry, the first thing to do is to get rid of the angry feeling. The given instructions are that the Christian's anger is to be put away before the sun sets for the day.

Kenneth Copeland: His Biography



Kenneth Copeland was the founder of the Christian organization named the Kenneth Copeland Ministries. He was born on 6th Dec 1936 at Lubbock, Texas. He is a well known Christian minister, American author, speaker, televangelist and a word of faith proponent. In his early life Kenneth was a recording artist and gave very popular numbers. His performance of "Pledge of love" came in Billboard Top 40 hit on 20th Apr 1957. This stayed in the chart for fifteen weeks and touched the 12th place in the list.


In the year 1962 he converted into Christianity and started working on the Christian Ministry. In his early career he worked as a chauffeur of Oral Roberts and around 1967 he enrolled at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.


Soon in 1970 the ministry started becoming very popular among people and many of them joined the ministries. The ministries headquarter were in Newark, Texas and has branches in many other location including international locations. Countries like Australia, Africa, Canada, UK and Ukraine have followers of KCM. They also made a prison inmate ministry which helped the convicts by providing them basic immunities.


After his conversion to Christianity, Kenneth initiated a new brand of Christian religion known as The Prosperity Theology. Some of his ideas and teachings in this work are controversial with some sections of the Christian community. Copeland's daily television program "Believer's Voice of Victory" became popular and in November 2007 Mike Huckabee, a Republican presidential primary candidate during 2008 made six appearances on this program. Mike Huckabee's campaign supported the Kenneth Ministries and paid for its use for a fundraiser.


There is a private airport at Fort Worth, Texas which has been named Kenneth Copeland Airport. The ministry has initiated many welfare programs and has been actively involved in many social charity works particularly for the prison inmates. It has been very actively involved in the well fare of the prisoner. KCM write letters for the prison inmates for giving them lessons for having patience and peace. The KCM has been working hard to share the power of the blessed life to those behind bars over these years. They help the prisoners by giving those books and other resources for chaplains. They even have been donated some amount to build up a chapel for the prison inmates.


During 1995 the Barber ministries enabled the KCM to broadcast the Eagle Mountain Motorcycle Rally live via satellite to inmates in Texas and other states. Many state prisoners received the satellite broadcast of this rally.


Today the ministries are expanding with lot of people joining them. The common goal of achieving peace is the main motto of these ministries. Kenneth and Gloria Copeland along with other staff member are spreading the word of faith and peace throughout the world. Kenneth's prophetic insight and teachings have inspired many for having a positive outlook towards life. He supports his partners by telling them no matter how great or small you ministry is it will become part of our ministry and vice versa.

It was estimated that Gross Domestic Product would increase at a clip of 5.7%, instead it grew at a rate of 5.9% according to the Commerce Department, based on fourth quarter financial numbers. This is the fastest pace the GDP has grown since the middle of the year in 2003. The fastest quarter was the third quarter which posted a robust 2.2% growth rate. In the winter period the GDP posted fore-casted growth of 5.7%, which indicates goods and services production totals, according to Reuters. With the recovery seemingly in full swing in the last few months of 2009, our nation seemed to be emerging from the most severe financial crisis since the Great Depression, but that growth has been stymied somewhat in the first quarter of 2010. With inventory at a recent high, many businesses took advantage of the slowdown to get rid of inventory and purchase needed software and equipment which lifted 4th quarter numbers, despite reduced consumer spending and real estate numbers. This wan't just a national trend either, as the Boise real estate market saw very similar changes in volume as well.


Stripping out inventories, the economy expanded at an annual rate of 1.9%, rather than the 2.2% pace estimated last month, indicating growth was not being driven by demand. Inventory sales amounts were alarmingly reduced from $33.5 billion to around $16.9 billion in the final quarter. There was a signification reduction from July to September of $139 billion. The change in inventories alone added 3.88 percentage points to GDP in the last quarter. This was the biggest percentage contribution since the fourth quarter of 1987. As home materials companies liquidated inventory, Boise real estate reaped some benefit from that.

For the whole of 2009, the economy contracted 2.4%, the biggest decline since 1946, the department said. In the final three months of 2009, consumer spending increased at a 1.7% rate, rather than the 2% pace reported in January. In the preceding quarter, the federal government "cash for clunkers" program lifted GDP by 2.8%, which was obviously a short term fix for a sector of the economy. In the fourth quarter, consumer spending - which normally accounts for about 70% of U.S. economic activity -- contributed 1.23 percentage points to GDP. As the national economy contracted, the Boise real estate market contracted right along with it.

With spending on commercial real estate heading down quickly, the fact that the growth happened at all was due mostly because of equipment purchases and investment in software necessary for business growth and improvement. In a sixty-five year life, that individual could have spent nine years stuck to the tube. That same person will moan and complain about their life, but did absolutely nothing to change it. Life crises come in all shapes and sizes, and usually when we least expect them.

There are many possible such moments of crisis - from retirement to bereavement, from divorce to a severe health breakdown, from bankruptcy to dismissal. There are many others, and they can affect all of us at some time or another in our lives. In my case, I have suffered through two divorces, two bereavements, a major business crash, and a serious attempted suicide. The effects can be serious and long-lasting.

Naturally, we all see the dark side of any life crisis, be it a bereavement, a divorce, losing your job, or whatever. But if you are able to step back a little, look hard at your life, consider your strengths and your weaknesses, you may very well be able to make changes to your life which will result in that elusive state, true happiness and contentment. You may have just lost a well paid job as a finance director, for instance. But you know, deep inside, that you would be much happier doing something else, something quite different - let's say running a flower nursery. Definitions of tue happiness abound on the internet:

-Happiness comes down to the difference between commitment and attachment -Happiness is social relationships -Happiness is individualistic, varying from one person to another -Happiness is a recipe that includes a number of ingredients -Happiness and unhappiness are two sides of the same coin -Happiness is the highest good -Happiness is about having each tiny wish come true -Happiness is delivered through focusing on the key areas of your life -Happiness is connected with diet and exercise -Happiness is not something that happens to you. It is inside you now -Happiness is the most important and the ultimate objective in life -Happiness is a set of skills you must learn.

If you don't yet exercise, start out with brisk walking for 15 minutes a day, 3 times per week. Work your way up to 30 minutes 6 days a week. Make it a ritual.

I also encourage you to build strength. Even if you're not a muscle-head, lift weights. The added physical strength adds to your psychological strength.

2. Reduce self-analysis:

 Low self-esteem individuals tend to suffer from social anxiety. A pre-cursor to social anxiety is self-obsession where the person continues to think about himself or herself.

No one thinks about you as much as you. Know that most people in conversations are more concerned about how you think of them than their perception of you.

If you want to be self-conscious, focus on other people. What a counterintuitive lesson! Once you focus on other people and reduce self-analysis, you begin saying and doing the right things. Also doing activities that make you focus and hold your attention can quickly boost your confidence.

3. Accept mistakes:

A baby tries to walk, falls over, and gets up to try again. If it gave up like so many people with poor self-esteem, it would never learn to walk.

Please accept your mistakes if you want to build self-confidence. There is no failure, only feedback. When you really believe and accept this, you use failure to build confidence - another counterintuitive lesson.

How Can I Become Courageous?


    ESTHER is one of the few ladies I know that posses impressive driving skills and believe me I should know because I once worked as a driver. Today, watching her drive is awesomely pleasing, though there are times I feel like grabbing the steering from her; I’m sure some of the guys know what I mean. Anyway, this is the part you have to promise not to tell her.
I remember asking her how she was able to attain such level of driving skill. She didn’t start out being all that perfect. She recounted one frightening experience when se almost vowed never to drive again. This is what happened; one day, she was cruising around town with her friends with the euphoria of being able to drive (she was the first amongst her friends); she was suddenly faced with an oncoming speeding trailer. You know one of those 16 wheelers; I call them ‘King of the road’. She went on to explain how she could think of was to how she could escape from the car. She said, “I was so scared tat I lost control of the car and almost packed inside the gutter if not for the culvert”. It was so funny but for world peace I tried not to laugh out loud. Now that particular experience redefined driving for her. She concluded that driving was a dangerous act which is likely to shorten human life so, “No more driving” she concluded. But she went on to overcome that fear and even James Bond will be proud to have her as one of his stunt car derivers now.


What am I driving at? That everybody is courageous and we exhibit this everyday to the whole world in the ‘seemingly’ trivial things we do. The truth is there was a time, we were afraid of doing those things, but because we have now mastered them and gotten used to doing them we easily forget that it took some courage for us to do those things the first time ever. In other words, just by living our lives, we summon courage from within us every day and gradually lose our fear to the extent that such things become second nature to us.

Could you possibly remember that:



• The first time you tried to walk, it took some courage.


• The first day you attended Nursery / primary school or boarding house and your parents left you with your teachers, you had to be courageous. Well for some of us that courage took sometime to come but it eventually did.


• Like my wife, you had to summon courage and dare to drive for the first time.


• It took serious courage to jump into the water and expect to float when you were learning how to swim.


• But for courage, you would never have been able to sit in front of a panel to attend an interview talk less of speaking to a large crowd.


• You have to summon all the courage within you to propose to your wife and you dared to be courageous to accept your husbands proposal when you weren’t sure of where he would eventually lead you in life.


• When you were going to write that exam, it was courage that spurred you on.


• Goodness! That baby you decided to have took all the courage in the world.


• You wouldn’t have ever boarded that plane if not for courage.


• That 100-meter race was a test of your courage.


I am sure that because you have mastered all these, you wouldn’t know that there are some people who still dread the idea of doing some of those things


Courage is necessary when you become afraid to act in a particular manner, the action of which would probably lead to a desirable outcome. The point is, everyone is actually afraid of one thing or the other so courage is not the absence of fear, it is action in the face of fear. In some cases, courage is when you are the only one that knows you are afraid.

So How to Become as Courageous as a Lion?

 
1. Information


In most cases what you know about a situation or thing is the greatest determinant of either courage or fear. For example, I used to be afraid of snakes but after sometime I started studying them by reading books and watching documentaries and suddenly the fear is almost gone not because snakes are no longer deadly but because I now know how to behave around them.


2. Responsibility


You need to realize that all growth requires change and the truth is change is scary but nobody has ever won a race without setting out from the starting block. However, this will be risky because you could get injured by falling down or knocked down by other runners but when you realize that you are actually the only one tat can achieve this goal for yourself only then will you set out. As they say, “if it is to be, then it’s up to me”

 
3. Action

The shortest distance between your dreams and their realization is action. In fact, it is the only route. Courage is a verb (a word that connotes action). The only reason you and the world around you will have to call you courageous is when your action speaks louder tan your words.


So the ball is now in your court and what you do about it will determine if you will swim with ‘Sharks’ successfully.
